Now for those of you who aren't monitoring the kids entertainment scene, Toy Story 3 was recently released and this is BIG news in our world. This kind Officer had stopped to purchase a Woody doll (a cowboy toy- get your mind out of the gutter already!) and put it in his patrol car so that any kids he met could play with it. Brady immediately spotted it on the back dash and asked to play with it. His mom, however, had not seen said doll and was completely taken aback as to why Brady was asking such a question. Needless to say I had already turned 8 shades of red by the time I figured it out. To this all I could say was "Good Job B! Way to spot that Woody!"
In other news, in April Cullen started walking, then running, then climbing on anything that was standing still, to climbing on anything period. Now 3 months later Cullen is climbing into the car, his car seat, his booster seat at the table... basically anything he sets his mind too. And don't even think about helping him because he will aggressively shake his head No(!!) while pouting so severely that he has to look at you through his eyebrows.
Cullen has learned to say "Ma-Ma," "aa-eee,"" uh-ooooh" (after throwing something on the ground), "ah-noooo" (while putting his hands on his cheeks) and all sorts of other fun words. He loves to point to your "eyyyyeeeees" (careful, he likes to actually touch your eyeball to emphasize his point), "noo" (nose) as well as ears, elbows, toes, knees, belly and poopy. Yes, you read that right, I said poopy. Think about it.
The boys have started to truly play together which is great. They also have started to truly fight together too which is less great. Brady was shocked a few weeks ago when Cullen actually pushed him down. So much for being 'gentle' with your baby brother. The gloves are off now. They usually play well for about 5 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of fighting (physically and verbally), followed by a few minutes of time out for both boys then the cycle repeats. Good times for all. Feel free to stop by on a Sunday afternoon at about 4:30 to check out the fun. By that time the boys have usually had enough of each other so the cycle time is a bit quicker!
Aside from the Woody story (which is classic, by the way!), just insert the name Jake for Brady and Michael for Cullen and you have our life over here! Don't you just love brotherly love? Can't wait to check out the pics...thanks for sharing! Love, K
