Home

We made it home. Cullen is doing well. He slept most of the way home and is now asleep in a pack and play in our bedroom. He is a bit grumpy and probably more than a little hungry. However, he was nicknamed 'the quiet one' in the recovery area because he was so good. That's our little man. The surgeons said everything went perfectly. The anesthesiologist (sp?) said he tolerated the anesthetics well.  And the tooth fairy now officially must visit the McGarr family as Cullen had two teeth pulled- at 14 weeks. What an overachiever! :-)

Cullen was a perfect little man all day. He slept in the waiting room- right through 2 feedings- and never made a peep. Every now and then he would look at us with an expression that basically said 'are you ever going to feed me?' but he didn't complain. He makes everything easy on us.

We learned that cell phone/iphone/bberry reception in the hospital is extremely limited. We also learned that playing scrabble on the iphone in the waiting room (final score: Rebecca 400, Shay 225) drains the battery rather quickly. We will be better prepared next time. Sorry to those of you who were worried, but we couldn't get away to send an update or call.

As you can imagine we are quite tired and will likely have a long night ahead so we are off to bed.

  1. Am glad everything went so smoothly. Sounds like he was an angel - how did the two of you get such a laid back baby! Thanks for the updates and enjoy your well deserved rest.
