In the beginning....

You are witnessing the start of an era... our family blog! Welcome! We are glad you are here and hope that this will help us stay connected with our family and friends. We are also hoping that the spell checker works and there is some sort of grammar checker so Shay doesn't take too much ribbing for his writing. 

2008 in review

2008 was a crazy year in which we lost our sanity and decided that it would be good idea to try to have another child. Our first son, Brady Dalton, was going on 2 so we wanted to try to have them close together. We had all sorts of good reasons for this: they will be close in age so we will still be in the 'groove' of taking care of little ones, they will play together, they will go to school together, etc, etc. Hmmmm. Did I mention that means we would have 2 in diapers? 2 in car seats? 2 who require some sort of restrictive chair during meal times? 2 invoices from day care? 

Kidding aside, Shay and I were blessed with an adorable little boy who we named Cullen Parker on December 9, 2008. He was 7lbs, 5ozs and 19.25 inches long. So at long last we greeted 2009 as a party of four.  Plus two cats (Saphire & Gracie) and two fish (red fishy and black fishy).
